I understand the option to look at the wiki but sometimes people just wait for someone to get there since Observation Haki can see players from really far away, more than the NPCs.

I managed to tame after 2 deaths, by using a Prismatic Elixir and a Potion of Speed.That cut the Burning Hatred damage per tick from 10k to 6k (tooltip says the effectiveness of FR is 4 times the norm, so basically I had the equivalent of 360 FR).
